Second, it is the start of SEASON FIVE! Join us for five weeks of critically acclaimed theater and access to national theatre actors and artists.

The Great River Shakespeare Festival's 2008 Summer Season will feature William Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice, directed by Paul Barnes, and The Taming of the Shrew, directed by Alec Wild. Both plays deal with surface appearances, finding ways to look more deeply under the surface, figuring out what constitutes moral behavior....                                             It is a terrific pairing!
