pericles
“few love to hear the sins they love to act.”
Rarely performed, Pericles is an episodic odyssey following Pericles on his travels through kingdoms and seas. A play of mythical proportions, it is full of storms, ships and grand journeys. Great River Shakespeare Festival is happy to welcome director Shaun Patrick Tubbs to the company. This will be GRSF’s first time producing Pericles, one of Shakespeare’s more complicated “romances”.

a midsummer night’s dream
“reason and love keep little company…”
One of Shakespeare’s most magical and popular plays, A Midsummer Night’s Dream has something new to offer to even those who have seen it many times. Full of confused lovers, mischievous fairies, rulers and some “rude” mechanicals, this play takes us from the structure of Athens to the more free and mysterious forest where confusion reigns and anything can happen!
